Charles Edgar – Oldtown Pasadena, Ca
Charles spent twenty years as a Corporate Financial Planning Analysts, and enjoyed it, but he knew deep inside something was missing. He started to follow is passion for dogs and started doing serious research into owning a pet franchises. “I’ve always been a dog lover. Without a dog we would get home and it just felt empty. My daughter adopted a dog from SPCA. Then my son adopted another one six months later. We just kept going from there. Now we have a house full of rescues. We found them at the Humane Society, on the streets and on freeways.”
As a corporate financial planning & analysis manager, Charles was well aware of the growing trends in the pet franchise. “It kind of only made sense having a family so immersed in dogs.” Charles trusted his business propensity and decided it was time to take the leap. It was time to open a Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique.
“We realize a pet is a piece of your soul, your personality. That is very cool. We watch out for that in the shop. A pet is a piece of a person’s personality that we’re dealing with, and we always remember that.” Charles would know. A glow of nostalgia hangs over him as he talks about his all of his pets.
“My favorite doggie was Baby. She was a Pomeranian, and just had that true animal magnetism. She was a sweet dog, a loving dog, and every single time we went to the dog park, she always got more than one compliment.”
