Owner Story

Sandy Yeung – Suwanee, GA

Sandy Yeung first opened her Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique in 2015. Before this, she worked in IT for a major bank for almost ten years. “After a few years of working from home, you get bored not seeing anybody,” she says. Easy to understand once you get to know Sandy’s easy-going, bubbly personality. Customer’s walking into her shop are greeted with her smile as they come to drop their dogs off. “I work up front so I can see first-hand what our customers expect.”

Before opening, Sandy owned three Shelties that needed constant grooming. “I’ve always loved dogs. Sometimes when I brought my dogs into a grooming place, I found myself not really satisfied. Sometimes my dogs would come out wet and would develop skin issues.” This prompted Sandy to take things into her own hands and open a pet grooming salon that she could call her own—a place that would do things right.

Now, Sandy owns a seven-year-old Yorkie-Poo named Fluffy but still loves seeing all the cute doggie clients. “There are a couple of dogs that have been coming in since they were puppies. I get to see them grow up.” This bond between groomer and dog extends to owners too.

Sandy enjoys teaching her customers about the health benefits of the high-quality foods and products available in her boutique. Items like all-natural human grade pet food and eco-friendly toys line her shelves. “I am always happy to hear when a dog’s health and skin gets better after changing food.” These same products sold in her store are the ones she uses at home with Fluffy. “With the boutique, I can help educate,” she tells us.

If you walk into Sandy’s shop the family atmosphere is clear. Sandy is always working to exceed the expectations of her customers and go the extra mile for the benefit of dogs and their human owners. “We treat all dogs like family. We want you to know they’re in good hands!”
