Owner Story

The Splash and Dash store owner in Coppell, Tx

Jaime Meyer – Coppell, TX

Jaime and her husband, John, have been grooming for 9 years. Jaime worked as an executive assistant for a software entrepreneur. “I liked it, but I didn’t like being on someone else’s schedule. When I was in the corporate world, I really missed the comforting feeling of being with the animals all day. I couldn’t wait to get home to my dogs.” The husband and wife team have a French Bulldog named Bernedette, and a “crazy little Jack Russel puppy” they adopted from the Coppell shelter named Yoda.

Several years ago they converted to a Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique. “I was looking for a way to stay current in our technologically driven society. It was extremely hard as an independent to find that technology.” Their shop’s transition was difficult at first, but they adapted quickly. “I enjoyed being able to provide friendly user experience, as far as booking online, and the text messages to know your dog’s done. I thought it was nothing but positive.”

Jaime enjoys the challenge of nervous dogs coming in for a haircut. “I feel like anybody can work with the really sweet puppies. My staff loves to that, but I personally like to work with the ones that are a little bit more nervous. She and her staff calm them down, “so they trust us and we can get the haircut done.”

The duo is approaching their tenth anniversary in the pet grooming industry, and has maintained a place of love, caring, and quality service throughout the years.
