Kara is Rescued and Gets New Home

Dog Services Rescued This Poor Pooch

According to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) dog services, around 7.6 million animals a year enter a shelter. The Splash and Dash family’s hearts go out to each and every one of these animals, and we want to bring awareness to this heartbreaking number. The numbers of the amount of stray animals are not available, but with the numbers of rescues entering the millions, ASPCA estimates there could be over 70 million strays walking the streets.

Kara is one of the lucky ones. This is why we bring you her story in today’s viral video. Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique follows Howl of a Dog a dog services rescue organization located in Romania–a  country that has some very controversial laws concerning stray animals. Today’s video is titled, “Homeless Dog Locked Up in a Cage for 4 Years Gets the Rescue of a Lifetime.”

The video shows the story of Kara a mixed-breed dog that is probably around 10-years-old. The poor girl spent the last four in a cage, before Howl Of a Dog came to finally free her. Dog services placed her into the care of veterinary professionals who were able medicate her as needed for skin problems. Currently, her fur is growing back! Kara is a senior dog and was recently diagnosed with spondylosis, an arthritis of the spine. She is looking for a loving home with a family that is able to take of senior dog accommodations.

Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique wish Kara well, and we hope you enjoy watching her road to recovery.
